I’ve just returned from Dr. Cui’s office where I learned that my tumor is smaller…..but she was unable to quantify “smaller”. The radiologist didn’t measure the tumor…..I don’t know why. I asked….”he just didn’t”.
The PET scan showed that the cancer is confined to my stomach with no nodes involved so I’ll have surgery in October to remove the tumor and leave me with a tiny tummy. I’ve been told to expect a 3 – 5 day stay in the hospital and perhaps a 2 week recovery period. My stomach will gradually expand but for six months, or so, following surgery I’ll need to continue eating several small meals each day.
Later that day….
I have an appointment with my surgeon, Dr. Michael Burke, at 10 am on September 15th.

WOOOO HOOOO!!!
