On Saturday, we began the day with a walk on the beach at Hanalei Bay. We walked down to the shore past the Princeville Hotel which is currently under renovation. It’s a beautiful location and apparently a good surfiing spot as well. We saw many surfers, waiting for the right wave.

We woke this morning to the sound of a rooster crowing. Chickens run free throughout Kauai. We found this family at the Anini Beach this afternoon.
