  1. I recently bought a 1.5 qt crock pot that I’ve been experimenting with so I tweaked this recipe yesterday and prepared it in the crock pot. I used one can of black beans, one can of diced tomatoes, one can of diced green chilies, two cups of diced butternut squash, a cup of chopped kale, a tablespoon of chili powder, a teaspoon of cumin and a splash of water. I put it on high for several hours (4 or 5 perhaps). Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve with with big spoonful of thick greek yogurt. YUM! 🙂
